You don't eat meat but you do eat fish?!

With rising mercury levels, species like blue fin tuna disappearing, and the horrendous impact of farmed fish, how can anyone look at me with a straight face and tell me they don't eat meat but then concede that they do eat fish?

  1. I think people feel the consumption of fish is more ethically acceptable than meat. I also think people are more intolerable of meat processing than fish processing, especially when it comes to mass production. The logic is obviously arguable. There's cetainly a lot of misinformation and flawed senses out there. Just for the record, I love meat and fish.

  2. Ryan, very good point. I think it's even more hilarious when people try to take the moral high ground with fish eating.

Michael Ruhlman can respond to that one much more eloquently than I:

  3. Kurt Cobain said it best: "It's ok to eat fish because they don't have any feelings."
